Due to the efficient yatra management and better arrangements of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chardham Yatra is continuously making new records. After Yamunotri, now the number of devotees in Gangotri Dham has broken all the old records. For the first time in the travel history of Gangotri Dham, a maximum of 7.84 lakh devotees have come for darshan. The number of visitors to Yamunotri Dham has also crossed 7 lakh. If we look at the total number of pilgrims during Chardham Yatra, 50 lakh 28 thousand 497 devotees have visited Chardham in 147 days (till 12th September) of this journey.

Compared to last year, this number is 05 lakh 19 thousand 173 more. Last year, during the same period, the number of passengers was 45 lakh 09 thousand 324. There are still about two months left for the Yatra, due to which the number of devotees is expected to increase significantly as compared to previous years. The journey to Gangotri Dham has created history. For the first time, the number of devotees has reached 07 lakh 84 thousand 321. Earlier, in the years 2022, 2023 and 2025, the number of devotees has crossed the figure of 07 lakhs.

6 lakh devotees reached to see Mother Yamuna

In the year 2022, 07 lakh 81 thousand 961, in 2025, 07 lakh 58 thousand 249 and in 2023, 07 lakh 12 thousand 749 pilgrims had reached the Dham. Maximum 06 lakh 44 thousand 637 devotees had reached Yamunotri Dham in the year 2025 to have darshan of Mother Yamuna. This time till now 07 lakh 03 thousand 302 devotees have had darshan of Mother Yamuna.

Badrinath Yatra is also moving towards creating a new record. Badrinath Yatra, which started on 23 April, has completed a period of 143 days on 12 September. During this period, 17 lakh 28 thousand 578 pilgrims have had darshan of Lord Badrivishal. This number is 03 lakh 45 thousand 733 more than last year. Last year, during the same period, the number of visitors was 13 lakh 82 thousand 845. There is great enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the visit to Hemkunt Sahib. Here, for the first time in comparison to the last several years, the number of devotees has reached 03 lakh 19 thousand 135.

Necessary steps were taken

Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Yatra is being conducted with utmost caution and monitoring. All necessary steps have been taken keeping the safety of the devotees paramount. The disaster management department in Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts to the Yatra has been kept in alert mode round the clock. The first phase of Chardham Yatra has been very successful. A large number of pilgrims are expected to arrive in the second phase also. Keeping this in view, all necessary arrangements have been made for safe, smooth and organized travel. The disaster management department has been kept in alert mode in all the districts to the yatra.
