New Delhi: The number of travelers visiting Bihar increases rapidly every year during Diwali and Chhath. In such a situation, the demand for tickets in trains also increases manifold. This time, as soon as advance booking started, passengers had to face technical problems on IRCTC's website and app.

Many people complained about receiving messages like 'High System Load', 'Error' and 'Regret' while booking tickets. Now in view of the problems of passengers, Railways has announced 8 pairs of special trains for different routes of Bihar.

'Regret' started appearing as soon as the booking opened

As soon as ticket booking for the festive season started, many passengers shared their problems on social media. Passengers said that after the booking window opened at 8 am, the load on the system increased significantly.

Many people saw the message 'Regret' instead of tickets being available. The waiting for some classes in some trains also increased rapidly. Under the advance reservation rules of Railways, normal train tickets can be booked 60 days before the date of journey.

8 pairs of special trains will run for Bihar

In view of the increasing crowd of passengers, Railways has decided to run special trains on different routes between September 16 and November 30. These include trains between Delhi to Sitamarhi, Rishikesh to Muzaffarpur, Chandigarh to Patna and Firozpur Cantt to Patna. Apart from this, special services will also start from Anand Vihar to Jogbani, Muzaffarpur, Patliputra and Laukha Bazaar.

Different trains have different frequencies

Delhi-Sitamarhi special train will run weekly, while service on Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur and Chandigarh-Patna routes will also be available once a week. Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur train will run two days a week. Anand Vihar-Patliputra special train will run daily.

Additional service will also start on Anand Vihar-Laukaha Bazar route from September 16. In view of the festive rush in the coming days, Railways may increase the number of special trains on other routes also.
