A drop in visitor numbers means keeping it going would be "unsustainable", the venue's owner says.
Although the iconic park's closure may not come as a surprise to many it comes amid a backdrop of increasingly tumultuous news from around the industry.
Just last month Leisure Island Fun Park on Canvey Island, Essex, closed its gates after two decades of operation,marking the end of an era.
Whilst in November 2024 after 48 years of operation Flambards Theme Park in Helston, Cornwall, closed its doors, citing rising costs and a decline in visitor numbers.
