A clip from Paresh Rawal’s recent interview has gone viral on social media where he admitted that he drank his own urine to recover from a knee injury and it worked like wonder.

He recalled about getting injured during the shoot of Sunny Deol starrer Ghatak and how he thought his career was over but that’s when Ajay Devgn’s father and legendary action director Veeru Devgan came to his rescue.

Recalling the same, Paresh Rawal told The Lallantop, “Veeru Devgan had come to visit when I was in Nanavati (hospital). When he got to know I was there, he came up to me and asked what happened to me? I told him about my leg injury.”

Rawal continued, “He told me to drink my own urine first thing in the morning. All fighters do this. You will never face any problem, just drink urine first thing in the morning. He told me not to consume alcohol, which I had stopped, mutton or tobacco. He told me to eat regular food and urine in the morning.”

Paresh then added that he decided to enjoy the process if he has to go through it, “I will sip it like a beer because if I have to follow through, I will do so properly. I did it for 15 days and when the X-ray reports came in, the doctor was surprised.”

Paresh Rawal revealed that while it would’ve taken him 2-2.5 months to recover, with urine drinking he recovered in a month and a half.

Reacting to the clip, one user wrote, “I would choose recovery in 2.5 months Without drinking urine... over recovery in 1.5 months with drinking urine... ek mahina aur ruk jata bhai... aisa bhi kya ho jata...”

Another user commented, “Good god! Didn’t expect this from him. Drinking urine is NOT good for health. Contemporary medical consensus indicates that drinking urine offers no health benefits and may pose risks. Potential dangers include, but aren’t limited to: dehydration, kidney stress, infection, toxic reabsorption. Come on now!!”

A third user reacted, “Harmful toxins are present in urine whether it's human urine or cow urine if your immunity is very low then it can cause you to death.....very silly answer from such an talented actor”.

A fourth user wrote, “Sir knees ke saat sar pe bhi lagi thi bata dete to tabhee treatment hojata”.
