Indore News: A case of a 3-year-old girl taking Santhara has come to light in Indore. This girl, suffering from brain tumour, was given Santhara on the advice of a Jain Muni, after which she died a few minutes.

This has created a discussion in the entire Jain community and across the country. This girl was found suffering from a serious disease of brain tumour since a year ago, for which she was undergoing treatment in Mumbai. The girl's parents Piyush and Varsha Jain told that she was given Santhara on the advice of Jain Muni Shri. The girl died a few minutes after the religious process.

The parents have been honored by the Jain community for this decision and it has been claimed that this is the first case of giving Santhara at such a young age, which has also been recorded in the 'Golden Book of World Records'.

The girl died after half an hour of religious rituals

The parents of the girl told that Viana was their only child and she left this world at the age of just 3 years, 4 months and 1 day. In December last year, she was diagnosed with brain tumor. First she was treated in Indore and then in Mumbai, but there was no significant improvement. One and a half months ago, they took the girl to meet Rajesh Muni Maharaj, the spiritual Sankalp Abhigraha-dhari. There, Munishri told that the condition of the girl was serious and suggested Santhara. Since the family is a follower of Munishri and Munishri had previously conducted 107 Santharas, the process of Santhara was started only with the consent of the entire family. Viana breathed her last only 10 minutes after this religious process which lasted for half an hour.

IT professional parents faced a difficult religious decision

Viana's parents Piyush and Varsha Jain are both IT professionals. They say that they had shared this decision only with a few close family members like grandparents and some relatives. This religious ritual of Santhara was completed in the presence of Rajesh Muni Maharaj, a spiritual Sankalp Abhigrahdhari and Rajendra Muni Maharaj sahab, a service-minded person. Due to taking Santhara at such a young age, Viana's name has also been recorded in the 'Golden Book of World Records'. The parents were also honored for this in a simple and dignified ceremony organized in Kimti Garden of Indore last Wednesday.

The youngest girl in the world to practice Santhara

Viana's parents say that their daughter has become the youngest girl in the world to take the highest vow of Jainism "Santhara". They say that Viana was a very playful and cheerful girl. She was being given religious rites from the very beginning like visiting the cowshed, feeding the birds, visiting Gurudev and doing Pachkhan. This religious environment and the faith of the family made this difficult decision possible. This spiritual journey of Viana has become a subject of deep thought and inspiration for the entire society today.
