NEET UG 2025 Exam Day Instructions

The NEET UG examination is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), this exam comes with stringent guidelines, a dress code, and disciplinary measures that all candidates must adhere to. In addition to the exam rules, the NTA has taken significant steps against misinformation and paper leak incidents, identifying 106 Telegram and 16 Instagram accounts that were misleading students.


NEET 2025 Exam Schedule

The NEET 2025 exam will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Candidates should be aware that entry to the exam center will close at 1:30 PM, so it is essential to arrive early and complete the necessary security checks.


Required Documents for the Exam
  • Printed Admit Card (with a passport-size photo attached)
  • One additional passport-size photo for the attendance sheet
  • One original and valid photo ID (such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License)
  • PwBD Certificate (if applicable), issued by an authorized body
  • Entry will be denied without these documents.

Dress Code for NEET 2025
  • Wear light-colored, half-sleeved attire
  • Full sleeves or heavy clothing are not permitted
  • Only sandals or slippers (with low heels) are allowed; shoes are prohibited
  • Candidates in religious attire must arrive by 12:30 PM
  • Watches, badges, jewelry, brooches, and metal items are strictly forbidden

Prohibited Items at the NEET UG Exam Center
  • No books, notes, calculators, or similar materials
  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and health bands are not allowed
  • Wallets, bags, belts, caps, and metal items are prohibited
  • No packed or unpacked food and water bottles
  • Any items that could be used for cheating are banned
  • Violations will result in strict action under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

  • Arrive early; entry closes at 1:30 PM.
  • Only sit in your assigned seat; otherwise, your exam may be canceled.
  • Do not leave the hall without submitting your OMR sheet.
  • Inspect the test booklet immediately upon receipt to ensure completeness.
  • Attendance must be recorded twice: at the start and when submitting the OMR sheet.

NTA's Measures Against Misinformation

The NTA has reported identifying 106 Telegram and 16 Instagram accounts that were disseminating false information regarding NEET 2025, including rumors about paper leaks and syllabus changes. These accounts are under investigation by the Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (MHA). To date, approximately 1,500 complaints have been lodged, primarily concerning Telegram. The NTA has also established a dedicated portal for reporting suspicious activities. While NEET UG 2025 is a challenging and competitive exam, adhering to the guidelines alongside thorough preparation can significantly enhance the likelihood of success.
