New Delhi: With most state boards having already released their class 10 and 12 results for the academic year 2024-25, CBSE is also preparing for declaring results for this year. Although there has been no official communication by the Board about the result date or time, they have informed schools and students that the DigiLocker security PINs (which is also known as Access Codes) are now available with schools.

Once declared, the results for the students will be officially posted on the websites – results.cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and cbse.gov.in.

The students are informed that PINs are needed to download digital copies of the marksheet, school leaving certificate, and migration certificate once the results are declared. Some schools have already distributed the 6-digit pin to their students and guardians over an email which was send last week.

Along with the access code, CBSE had also sent across a manual as an advisory for students on how to enable the pin and also view their marksheet once the result is declared. Going all hi-tech, the government has also decided to make these access codes be available to students via an SMS on their registered mobile numbers. One must remember that the DigiLocker is a government-backed document storage platform.

The reason for introducing this is seen as a security measure to ensure that only authorised students can view and download their documents. The DigiLocker system is part of CBSE’s digital academic repository called Parinam Manjusha, maintained in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD).

Steps to access DigiLocker and download marksheet

  1. Go to the official id – digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse
  2. You will be prompted to select between Class 10 or Class 12
  3. Here, students have to enter their school code, roll number, and 6-digit PIN provided by their school
  4. Post verification, students are advised to log in to DigiLocker with their username and password
  5. Once successfully logged in, they are advised to go to the ‘Profile’ section and link their Aadhaar.
  6. Now, click on ‘Pull Partner Documents’ from the sidebar
  7. Here, select: Organisation and Document
  8. Enter the year of passing and roll number
  9. Now you may click on ‘Get Document’ to download.
  10. The marksheet appears.
Students can then ‘Save to Locker’ to store the document securely.
