Viewers of were left reeling after a shocking plot twist in the latest episode of the series.

Acting on information provided by Nick Blaine (portrayed by Max Minghella), all the women at Jezebel's were brutally killed, accused of conspiring to assassinate high-ranking commanders.

Janine Lindo (played by Madeline Brewer) narrowly escaped the bloodbath. However, she was subjected to an even more horrifying ordeal as she was forced into servitude under Commander Bell (Timothy Simons).

In a bone-chilling scene, Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) arrived at the Bell household, only to be informed by the Commander that Janine was still adjusting to her new role, reports the .

Aunt Lydia then witnessed a visibly battered Janine being dragged away from a bedroom window, her dreadful new reality becoming painfully apparent.

The distressing scene sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with viewers expressing their horror at Janine's new predicament.

One Reddit user wrote: "'She's not ready for public viewing at the moment' and then Janine at the window MADE ME SICK.... PLEASE let her get out of this hellscape [sic]."

Another shared: "Oh man, I am heartbroken by all those women. And terrified for what they have planned for Janine. Out of all the characters Janine can not catch a f***ing break."

"The torture porn for Janine is real. They need to stop," added a third viewer.

Viewers were quick to comment on the woman accompanying Janine in the bedroom scene.

One viewer observed: "Yes did you see THE WIFE pull her from the window? I guess she matches her husband's energy [sic]."

Another speculated: "she probably fought like hell knowing she was going to be a handmaid. especially his and to be a baby maker for him and his wife. at least she could escape him when he wasn't at jezebels. now she's his live-in sex slave.

"i'd also imagine if his wife has caught wind of his infatuation with janine, hands were thrown between them as well [sic]."

Another fan pointed out: "We know he's a violent rapist but there is no reason to believe his wife is sweetness and light.

"Especially given how we saw the group of wives visiting with Serena and just how bought into the system they all are."

Many fans are rooting for Janine to break free from Gilead's grip, with one theory suggesting that she and her daughter Angela might escape, rather than June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) and Hannah Bankole (Jordan Blake).
