Olympic champions Laura and Jason Kenny are over the moon as they welcome a new baby girl into their family. The couple, who have openly discussed their struggles with fertility, were ecstatic to share their latest addition with fans.

On Monday, 5 May, 33 year old Laura took to social media to post adorable snaps of her newborn daughter nestled between her two proud older brothers, Albie and Monty. "Three's the magic number. Lilian Joyce Kenny Born on 4/5/25 at 10.44am. Weighing 8.0lbs," she announced.

"Can't stop calling her, him. There was only ever one name we had in mind for a daughter. A mix of both our Nan's names." She affectionately concluded, "Our beautiful little family is complete."

Laura also uploaded a tender photo to her Instagram stories, showing her baby girl swaddled in her great-grandmother's scarf, which bore a name tag. Over the picture, she expressed gratitude: "Thank you all for the lovely messages. Slowly getting round to thanking everyone."

She continued to gush about the thoughtful present: "Look at her beautiful cardigan from caitlin.withlovex who sent us the most beautiful gift for Lily and the boys. Our baby girl with my Nan's scarf."

Fans flooded the comments with heartfelt congratulations, with one user saying: "Oh wow beautiful photo and name congratulations." Another person added: "Stop!!! So happy for the 5 of you."

Fans and fellow athletes alike have been showering Laura and Jason with celebratory messages, including a heartfelt "Huge congratulations," and Olympic star Denise Lewis chimed in with her own warm words, "Congratulations to all of you!".

Laura and Jason revealed they were expecting their third child as part of their New Year's celebrations. They shared an adorable video on New Year's Eve showing their sons Albie, aged seven, and one-year-old Monty wearing 'big brother' shirts, prompting Laura to reflect on the past and future: "2024 was wonderful, 2025 is going to be even more special."

The happy update follows a period of adversity for Laura, who suffered a miscarriage in 2021 and an ectopic pregnancy in 2022, leading her to question whether her commitment to high-level sport had affected her ability to conceive.

She expressed her doubts, wondering, "Was my body just running on empty, and then it said, 'Well, hang on, there's no way we can do this?'"

Dedicated athlete Laura has always pushed herself to the limit in her sporting career, stating, "Every training session, I went in there to give 100%, every race I went in there to give 100%. I took it to the limit - if I wasn't sick after a race I'd be like, 'Did I try hard enough?'".

Laura and Jason tied the marital knot back in 2016 and became parents with the birth of their son Albie in 2017. After enduring the pain of a miscarriage in 2021, they were blessed with the arrival of their second son, Monty, in 2023.
