Jeep has officially unveiled the next-generation Compass SUV. Built on the company’s advanced STLA Medium platform, the new Compass will be manufactured in Melfi, Italy.
The SUV boasts sharper styling, a more spacious cabin, electrified powertrains, and a significant jump in performance and tech.
On the outside, the new Compass borrows styling cues from the larger Grand Cherokee. It sports sleek LED headlights, a redesigned grille with lighting elements, wrap-around LED tail lamps, and aggressive bumpers. Signature Jeep details like squared wheel arches, muscular cladding, and a black roof add to its tough look, while still keeping the classic boxy silhouette.
The First Edition variant stands out with 20-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlamps, 360 degree protective cladding, and heated cloth/vinyl seats with manual adjustments and lumbar support.
In terms of size, the new Compass has grown. It now measures 4,550 mm in length and 1,928 mm in width (an increase of 85 mm). The wheelbase has also been stretched by 160 mm to 2,795 mm, offering more room inside.
The SUV will be offered in six vibrant colours – Hawaii Green, Pacific Blue, Antarctica White, Amazonia Brown, Yosemite Grey, and Volcano Black.
Inside, the cabin gets a complete overhaul. The new Compass features a 10-inch digital driver display and a large 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Thankfully, Jeep has retained some physical buttons for ease of use. The cabin also includes aluminium accents across the dashboard, centre console, and steering wheel, giving it a premium feel.
Comfort features include optional ventilated seats and an open-air panoramic sunroof. Thanks to the longer wheelbase, rear legroom has increased by 55 mm, while boot space is now a generous 550 litres—45 litres more than before.
Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera. The First Edition of the new Compass is now available to order, with deliveries starting in Q4 2025.
The new Compass is available with three powertrain choices:
The high-performance AWD model features a new rear electric motor producing 49 kW and 232 Nm of torque. Thanks to a 14:1 rear reducer, it delivers a massive 3,100 Nm of torque at the rear wheels.
The all-electric Compass boasts a claimed range of up to 650 km on a single charge. Using a 160 kW DC fast charger, it can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. It also includes a 22 kW on-board charger for added convenience.
The 4xe AWD variant gets a 10 mm suspension lift and improved off-road angles—31 degree departure, 16 degree breakover, and 27 degree approach—making it more capable for rough terrain.
As previously confirmed by Stellantis, this new-generation Compass will not be launched in India. Instead, the facelifted version of the current-generation Compass remains on sale, including several special edition models.
