Chainsaw Man manga is going strong with chapter 202 being the latest. While the anime is moving a little late, the manga is growing more and more intense with new characters in action. One such character from the manga is Fumiko Mifune , who makes a debut in Chainsaw Man Part 2 . As for her intro, she is the Public Safety Devil Hunter from Tokyo Special Division 7 . And she is assigned as a bodyguard to Denji. She also attended the Fourth East High School along with the protagonist. Let's have a look at her importance in the story, along with her abilities and more.
Fumiko Mifune in Chainsaw Man: Personality, abilities, and more
Fumiko Mifune is introduced in the manga as a jolly character. However, as the story unfolds, we get to know that there is a lot hidden under her ear-to-ear smile. She is a big-time stalker and watches Denji without him knowing it. To be precise, she treats Denji more as an object instead of a person, which can be seen in her desire to collect different parts of Denji's body (let's not dig deep there).
And as for her duties, she is not that impressive at it. For example, whenever Denji is in a life-threatening situation, she just indulges in things that give her personal enjoyment. Her lack of discipline at work is often criticised by different characters in the manga. A mob attack also revealed her intentions as she betrays Denji and Nayuta at the same time.
Coming into her powers, Fumiko works with the Ageing Devil under a contract. This thing allows her to sacrifice a body part to get special powers. Fan theories related to her character suggest that she could be the Sex Devil in the manga. High chances are that we will get to know more about her and her core nature in the forthcoming chapters. On a concluding note, she is most probably going to play an important role in Chainsaw Man.
