Delhi: A clarification has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) after a fake notice started doing the rounds on social media, stating untrue that the board would release its 2025 exam results based on a new "Halfway Grouped Method."

In a post with the title "#CBSE Fact Check #Fake News Alert," CBSE has assured that the notice, which speaks about modifications in the process of declaring results for Class 10 and 12 students, is entirely false.

The fake notice claimed that due to over 46 lakh students appearing for the CBSE exams this year, the board had decided to split the result declaration into two batches to reduce website traffic. According to the false claims, Class 10 results would be announced in two phases—on May 9 and May 15—while Class 12 results would be split between May 14 and May 16.

The notice also stated that the results would be available on the official website of CBSE, DigiLocker, and Umang app, with additional information to be uploaded shortly.

CBSE has asked students and parents to use only information published on its official website (cbse.gov.in) and authentic social media accounts. The board emphasised that any official information about result dates and procedures will be shared through these mediums.

Students are cautioned not to be easily deceived by unfounded messages spreading online, especially during exam season.

The CBSE Class 10, 12 Result 2025 are anticipated to be released by the Central Board of Secodary Education (CBSE) the next week on the CBSE official website, cbseresults.nic.in.

However, the precise time and date have been disclosed by the CBSE Board. Following the pattern from the previous years, the Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE Bpard results for 2025 were made public on May 13.
