Bareilly: Taking another major initiative for the farmers, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to set up a farmer registry camp in every village. So far, only 48 percent of the farmer registry of farmers in Bareilly district has been completed, due to which about 2.8 lakh farmers are still deprived of the benefits of government schemes. The upcoming installment of schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi may also be stuck.
DM expressed displeasure, gave strict instructions
The District Magistrate of Bareilly has expressed strict displeasure over departmental negligence and has directed to camp again in all gram panchayats. According to Abhinandan Singh, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Department, special camps of Farmer Registry are being started at the village level in the entire district from Monday.
Why is the farmer registry necessary?
Farmer Registry is a digital identity, through which farmers can take direct advantage of all schemes of the Center and the State Government. In this, information like name, father’s name, Aadhaar number, Khatauni, bank account and mobile number are integrated. The biggest bottleneck is becoming the inequality of the details in the documents, causing a large number of applications to be stuck.
How to register online?
If farmers want to register the farmer with their Android phones, they will have to follow the steps given below and complete the registry process. Guidelines have been issued by the department regarding this, so that people can get information.
1.Go to the website upfr.agristack.gov.in.
2.Fill the required details and do OTP verification.
3.The Farmer Registry Number will be released after successful verification.
Offline facility is also available
Farmers who are unable to process online can get the farmer registration done by going to the nearest Kisan Public Facilitation Center. For this, they have to take their documents along. At present, out of 5.45 lakh beneficiary farmers of the district, only 2.62 lakhs have been registered.
