A fire erupted earlier today near a Tube station in west . The blaze started at the rear of a semi-detached home. It is now under control after over 40 firefighters attended the scene.

A picture posted to social media shows plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the air near Hounslow East station, which is on the Piccadilly line.

Firefighters were at the scene on Myrtle Road and got it under control by 1pm.
