In a long-awaited upgrade to its web-based note-taking tool, Google Keep, desktop users will soon be able to use text formatting options like bold, italics, and underlining. Users of Google Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal accounts may now use these capabilities, which were initially made accessible on Android over two years ago.

In the bottom left corner of the redesigned Keep text editor, there is an underlined “A” button that houses the new formatting choices. When this button is clicked, a toolbar appears that lets users apply H1 and H2 headings or style their content. This is a quick and easy approach to make notes more organized and readable.

This update should eliminate the need to re-edit material after syncing and keep formatting consistent across web and Android for users of Google Keep on multiple devices.

Google cautions that even though the functionality has begun to roll out, it can take a few weeks before everyone can see it. Nevertheless, the modification is a nice improvement to Keep’s online usability, which users have been asking for for years.
