This Sunday’s MotoGP race at the iconic Le Mans circuit in France was marked by a chaotic scenario that confused even the most experienced riders.

The unstable track conditions, combined with difficult decisions around tires and bike changes, contributed to a race full of unpredictability, crashes and uncertainty.

The unpredictability was such that, at various times, not even the riders themselves knew where they stood. This was the case with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Brad Binder, who couldn’t hide his frustration and bewilderment at the events of the race: ‘I didn’t even know. Even after I crashed, I got up, and I saw that I was in, like, tenth place. Then I thought, jeez, how is this possible?’.

In Binder’s case, a second crash ended up permanently jeopardizing any chance of a competitive result: ‘Then I was going through turn one, and I crashed again.

And then I thought, damn. And that was pretty much it’.

Despite the experienced rider’s problems with the Austrian manufacturer, KTM ended up with two riders in the top five: Pedro Acosta and Maverick Viñales (Tech3).
