After one day of rest, the returned with its second semi-final on Thursday evening (May 15). 16 entrants took to the stage in the hopes of securing a place in the grand final on Saturday (May 17). But with only 10 spots up for grabs, it ended in heartbreak for six countries.

While the UK has already landed a spot in the final, the 'Big Five' group were invited to perform their song in the second semi-final. Australia's entry, Go-Jo, kicked things off in Basel, Switzerland, while Finland's Erika Vikman wrapped up the show.

Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer returned as presenters, while Rylan Clark and Scott Mills provided commentary on the BBC. We shared the latest updates from the annual music competition.
