For good cause, actress Sai Dhanshika has been in the news lately. She’s getting married. She is reportedly ready to marry Tamil actor Vishal later this year, according to recent media reports. Additionally, the two verified the news during the audio premiere of Dhanshika’s forthcoming movie Yogi Da, where Vishal was one of the main guests. Sai Dhanshika is who?

Sai Dhanshika, a well-known figure in the South Indian cinema industry, was born in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, on November 20, 1989. Before turning 20, she made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Manathodu Mazhaikalam (2006), where she played Marina. In the Arputhan-directed buddy drama, she was paired with actors Shaam, Nithya Das, and Jayasurya. Dhanshika was featured in Maranthen Meimaranthen and Thirudi, two more Tamil-language movies, that same year.

Three years later, under the name Thanushika, she made her debut in Kannada films with Kempa. However, it was her performance in Ravi Mohan’s 2009 movie Peranmai that made her famous. Jananathan is the director of an action-adventure movie about Dhuruvan, a tribal forest guard who defends his people.

Dhanshika has starred in a number of Tamil-language films throughout the years, including Paradesi, Thiranthidu Seese, Nil Gavani Sellathey, Aravaan, and Maanja Velu. When she costarred with South superstar Rajinikanth in the 2016 movie Kabali, she became well-known. His daughter was portrayed by Dhanshika. The Tamil-language action drama also starred John Vijay, Dinesh Ravi, Kishore, Radhika Apte, and Kalaiyarasan.

That was not the end of her career. In 2017, Sai Dhanshika made her Malayalam film debut with Solo, a multilingual film starring Dulquer Salmaan. She then accompanied Shikaaru into Telugu movies. Her most recent on-screen appearance was in Tulasi Ram Osho’s 2024 Telugu-language murder action movie Dhakshina. In supporting parts, the movie features Magna Choudhary, Hima Sailaja, Sneha Singh, Ankitha Muler, Karuna, and Naveen in addition to Rishav Basu.

At the age of 35, Dhanshika is prepared to start a new phase of her life—one that will take place off-screen. According to reports, Dhanshika and Vishal will shortly get engaged, and they want to marry on August 29.
