This Morning fans were left utterly astounded during the latest instalment as they discovered the true age of Karate Kid legend, Ralph Macchio. The actor graced the ITV programme with his presence alongside fellow star Ben Wang to chat about their upcoming movie, Karate Kid: Legends, a fresh addition to the beloved series.

In the film, which also features martial arts superstar Jackie Chan, fans will follow kung fu whizz Li Fong (portrayed by Ben Wang) as he wrestles with his history while adapting to life in New York. Ralph Macchio shared his excitement about the new project, remarking: "Now to enter a new chapter, which is fresh and urban in its style - it's different but same, is a phrase I always use."

However, as Ralph and Ben delved into conversation about the movie with This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, viewers were distracted by Ralph's seemingly eternal youth, reports .

At 63 years young, Ralph caused quite the stir on social media platform X, where fans expressed their amazement at his preserved looks.

One fan exclaimed: "Wasn't he the original Karate Kid? That's why he's on #thismorning. And at 63, he looks great."

Another chimed in: "He doesn't look like a man in his 60s." While another was flabbergasted, commenting: "How can Ralph Macchio be in his 60s when he looks good."

Ralph, set to step back into the shoes of Daniel LaRusso, has previously stated that his involvement in the new Karate Kid venture is a nod to the saga's heritage whilst propelling the narrative into the future.

He told Morung Express: "I've been careful over the years with protecting this franchise, protecting this character.

"The evolution of these characters, the themes in the original movie, they still stand the test of time and win over each generation."

On working with Jackie Chan, he said: "Working alongside Chan was a learning experience in itself. I have so much respect for him as an artist and entertainer. He's a legend in the field, whether it be motion pictures and martial arts or even comedy.

"He is meticulous and always wants to ensure he gets the shot right. During filming, especially during the martial arts scenes, he would correct and perfect the move saying 'No, no, this is how it's done!' and I would just agree."

Ralph Macchio was 22 years old when he started playing his iconic role.

This Morning airs Mondays-Fridays from 10am on ITV.
