The inaugural edition of the Dharoi Adventure Fest took place at Dharoi Dam today in the Satlasana taluka of Gujarat’s Mehsana district. The event was launched by Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, at 9:30 AM.
This colourful fest is organised by the Gujarat Tourism Department , in collaboration with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), and aims to establish Dharoi as a key destination in Gujarat’s expanding adventure tourism map.
The Dharoi Adventure Fest will offer a wide array of more than ten land, water, and aerial adventure activities. Visitors can experience power boating, parasailing, paramotoring, as well as thrilling land activities such as rock climbing, trekking, hiking, and mountain biking. To enhance the immersive experience, camping facilities will also be available.

Beyond adrenaline-filled adventures, the festival will cater to a broader audience through evening cultural performances, astronomy camps, stargazing sessions, nature walks, and photography tours, combining natural exploration with cultural enrichment.
To accommodate participants and tourists, a fully air-conditioned tent city has been established on-site. This includes 21 luxury tents in various categories—Rajwadi Suite, Premium Tent, and Deluxe AC Swiss Cottage—along with two dormitory options: Premium Dormitory and AC Dormitory, which together offer over 100 beds. A dedicated dining hall has been constructed to provide meals and refreshments.
The following pricing structure applies for accommodation:
For guests seeking luxury, the Rajwadi Suite, suitable for two persons, is priced at ₹7,000 for a 1-night, 2-day stay.
For those staying 2 nights and 3 days, the cost is ₹13,000. An extra person can be accommodated for ₹1,000 for the shorter stay and ₹2,000 for the longer one.
The Premium Tent, also designed for two people, is available at ₹5,500 for a 1-night, 2-day package, and ₹9,000 for a 2-night, 3-day package. Additional guests can be accommodated for ₹1,000 and ₹1,800 respectively.
The Deluxe AC Swiss Cottage, another two-person option, costs ₹4,000 for a 1-night, 2-day stay and ₹6,000 for a 2-night, 3-day stay. An extra person can stay for ₹1,000 and ₹1,200 respectively, depending on the duration.
For budget travelers, the Premium Dormitory is priced at ₹700 for a 1-night, 2-day stay and ₹1,300 for a 2-night, 3-day stay.
This category does not allow for additional guests.
Similarly, the AC Dormitory is available at ₹350 for a 1-night, 2-day stay and ₹600 for 2 nights and 3 days, also without an option for extra persons.

Guests staying in the Rajwadi Suite, Premium Tent, and Deluxe AC Swiss Cottage will receive a comprehensive meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch, evening tea with snacks, and dinner.
This event signifies the beginning of adventure-based tourism at Dharoi Dam and reflects Gujarat’s wider strategy to promote eco- and adventure-tourism infrastructure across the state. With scenic landscapes, well-planned facilities, and diverse activities, Dharoi Adventure Fest is poised to become a flagship event for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
