Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic have been named to the All-NBA first team, as announced on Friday.

Joining them are Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, and Donovan Mitchell from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gilgeous-Alexander was a unanimous choice, repeating last season's achievement.

Antetokounmpo has now been selected for the first team seven times and has made nine All-NBA appearances overall. Jokic boasts five first-team selections and seven total All-NBA nods. Tatum is on his fourth first-team selection, making it his fifth overall appearance. Gilgeous-Alexander has been on the first team in all three of his All-NBA appearances, while Mitchell is celebrating his second career All-NBA selection.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers continues to make history with his 21st All-NBA selection in 22 seasons, earning a spot on the second team. At 40 years old, he is the oldest player to achieve this feat. James has 13 first-team selections, four second-team picks, and four third-team appearances. No other player has more than 15 All-NBA selections.

Kobe Bryant with 11 first-team picks, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 10, and Tim Duncan also with 10 are part of the exclusive club of players with at least 15 All-NBA selections.

The second team includes Minnesota's Anthony Edwards, Cleveland's Evan Mobley, Golden State's Stephen Curry, and New York's Jalen Brunson. Curry joins an elite group as an 11-time All-NBA player, a milestone reached by only 21 players in NBA history.

Edwards and Brunson have each made their second All-NBA teams, while Mobley is celebrating his first inclusion.

Third Team Selections

The third team features Detroit's Cade Cunningham, Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton, Los Angeles Clippers' James Harden, New York's Karl-Anthony Towns, and Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams. Harden is an eight-time All-NBA selection; Towns has been picked three times. Haliburton makes his second appearance while Cunningham and Williams are newcomers to the list.

This year's selections highlight both seasoned veterans and emerging talents in the NBA. The mix of experience and new energy promises exciting seasons ahead for basketball fans worldwide.
