A devastating fire broke out at an e-rickshaw charging station in Shahdara, East Delhi, on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to four others. This information was confirmed by an official.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) reported that they received an alert about the fire around 6:40 AM, prompting the dispatch of five fire engines to the scene located near Ram Mandir on Moti Ram Road.
The blaze erupted within a 'tin shed' structure covering approximately 400 square yards, which was being utilized as an e-rickshaw charging facility. DFS chief Atul Garg stated, 'The fire was brought under control by 8:30 AM. During the operation, two charred bodies were recovered from the debris.'
Four injured individuals were rescued and transported to the nearby GTB Hospital. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established, but they are believed to be workers residing in the shed.
