Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the JEE Advanced exam, which is conducted in two shifts. The performance of candidates in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is considered to calculate their final ranks.
JEE Advanced is conducted in seven IIT zones — Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee. Each zone has also released the names of their respective zone-wise toppers, highlighting the regional toppers from each IIT region.
Those who have cleared the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will now participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JoSAA) counselling process, which will begin in due course of time. Through JoSAA, candidates will be allotted seats in the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
Last year, Ved Lahoti of the IIT Delhi zone secured the AIR 1 in the Common Rank List (CRL). He secured 355 marks out of 360 in JEE Advanced 2024. Students are advised to keep an eye on the official JoSAA portal for the complete counselling schedule and important instructions.
