Navi Mumbai: In a move to ease the property tax payment process for citizens, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced that its property tax payment counters will remain open on weekends — Saturday and Sunday — from 10 am to 3 pm.

This decision has been taken by NMMC Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Kailas Shinde to accommodate citizens who are unable to pay taxes on weekdays. The counters will be operational on June 21, 22, 28, and 29.

NMMC has also announced a 10% rebate on the general property tax for the first quarter, available to property owners who pay their dues by June 30.

To further facilitate timely payments, NMMC has enabled online payment options. Property owners can pay their dues through the official website www.nmmc.gov.in, the “My NMMC” mobile app, or using UPI platforms like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, as well as through debit and credit cards.

The civic body emphasized that the extended counter hours and digital options aim to ensure maximum citizen convenience and encourage timely tax compliance. Citizens are urged to make the most of the rebate and avoid last-minute rush.
