Birmingham: In the second Test match being played between India and England, Shubman Gill made history as soon as he scored a double century. He has become the first Indian captain to score a double century in England. Shubman Gill broke Mohammad Azharuddin’s record of 179 runs. At the same time, he created history by becoming the first Indian Test captain to score a double century in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) countries.
In his second Test as an Indian captain at Edgbaston, Birmingham, Gill came out to bat at number four on Wednesday and completed his double century with a single ball of the 122nd over of India’s first innings.
