South Africa will take on Zimbabwe in the 2nd Test of the Test series. The match will be played at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo from 6th July 2025 to 10th July 2025 at 1:30 PM IST.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe, under the leadership of their experienced captain Craig Ervine, will look to bounce back against South Africa in the second Test match after losing the first match by a whopping 328-run margin. Zimbabwe will have to rely once again on their experienced veteran player Sean Williams, who struck a sublime 137 in the first Test and has an average of 68.22 since 2020. Blessing Muzarabani will lead the bowling attack with Tanaka Chivanga bubbling with confidence after taking a match haul of 6 for 159 in the first Test. It is worth mentioning that Zimbabwe has just one Test win in their last six Test match outings; they are yet to win a single Test match against the reigning WTC champions.
South Africa
South Africa, on the other hand, will be heading into this match with a motive to whitewash Zimbabwe in the Test series. They are leading the two-match series by 1-0 after a thumping victory in the first match under Keshav Maharaj. Debutants Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis had a stellar outing, scoring 153 and 51 in the first innings, respectively. Corbin Bosch and Wiaan Mulder also delivered some outstanding performance, Bosch scored a century in the first innings and took a five-wicket haul in the second innings, whereas Mulder scored 147 in the second innings and had a four-wicket haul. It is worth mentioning that Keshav Maharaj is set to miss the final Test match due to a groin strain, and Mulder is set to take the leadership duties in this match.
