Vishnu Manchu 's mythological action drama 'Kannappa' continues to have a decent run at the box office, with the film pulling in a steady Rs 14 lakh as per early estimates on its 12th day, Tuesday. While the numbers aren't blockbuster-level, the film's performance has remained consistent.
Kannappa Movie Review
As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Kannappa has so far managed to collect a total of approx Rs 32.29 crore across all languages. Breaking down the earnings, the film opened with a strong first-week collection of Rs 30.2 crore. The second weekend had a slight drop, with Day 8 bringing in Rs 45 lakh, Day 9 recovering slightly with Rs 60 lakh, and Day 12, the most recent count, reporting Rs 14 lakh. While the film isn’t raking in huge numbers after its opening week, it has managed to hold its ground.

Theatre occupancy
On Tuesday, Kannappa recorded an overall Telugu occupancy rate of 14.85%. Morning shows had the highest turnout with 16.09% occupancy, followed by afternoon 15.51%, evening 14.94%, and night shows 12.85%.
About the film
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is a spiritual story about how Thinnadu, a fearless warrior who, from being an atheist, ultimately becomes a faithful devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu takes the lead as the titular character, and the film features cameos and important roles by several big names. The presence of Bollywood and South Indian superstars, such as Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, Prabhas as Rudra, Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati, and Mohanlal as Kirata, increased its pan-India appeal.

The other key cast includes veteran actors like Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Preity Mukhundhan, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmaji, and Brahmanandam.
Etimes review for the film reads, "Kannappa scores high on visual and musical impact. Sheldon Chau's cinematography captures the beauty of forested landscapes and celestial moments with finesse, giving the film a rich visual texture. Some of the VFX elements fall short of the film's ambition, but the overall sincerity of the production shines through."
