A police cordon has been set up in Old Market Square near Nottingham Beach, in the city centre. Police were called to the old Debenhams building on Long Row West in Nottingham city centre at around 2pm on Thursday following reports of youths climbing onto its roof.

Upon arrival, officers established a safety cordon around the site, and several police vehicles, along with three NHS ambulances, were stationed outside the disused property. As of 3:30pm, authorities confirmed that no injuries had been reported in connection with the incident. Two police cars are located at one end of the cordon, with a police van also nearby. A member of public at the scene, who not want to be named told Nottinghamshire Live that he saw children inside the building just before the cordon was put in place.

The Express has contacted Nottinghamshire police for more details.
