Meanwhile, a shocking incident has come to light in Chanakyapuri, considered the safest in Delhi. Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha MP R.K. Sudha, who is an MP from Mayiladuthurai seat. On Monday morning, she left the morning walk, when a man swung a gold chain from her neck and escaped from there.

The incident occurred in broad daylight, after which there was a stir in the area. The MP said that the accused came very fast and was wearing a helmet, making it difficult to identify his face.

R. Sudha told that she is staying in Tamil Nadu Bhavan these days and goes for a walk every morning. Like every day, she came out on a morning walk with a female Rajya Sabha MP, when a scooty rider came and ran away with a quick chain. He said that the accused was wearing a helmet, due to which it became difficult to identify his face.

A letter written to Home Minister Amit Shah

MP Sudha wrote a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah after the incident, in which he shared his tragedy and questioned the safety of women in Delhi.

He wrote, "When women are not safe in high security zone like Chanakyapuri, where will they feel safe?" "My chain was weighing more than 4 grams and I am in shock since this incident. The accused should be caught as soon as possible."

Delhi Police got into action as soon as the information of the incident was received. Police have formed teams, which are engaged in scanning the CCTV footage of the area. The police have registered a case and the security around Tamil Nadu Bhavan has also been tightened.
