New Delhi . Team India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah (Jasprit Bumrah) will play only three Test matches on England Tour (England Tour). When Bumrah played his third Test in Manchester, everyone realized that he would not take part in the last Test to be held at the Oval. Although the series was at stake, there was nothing confirmed, but when Shubman Gill said that Bumrah is not playing the 5th Test, then his workload started everywhere. Bumrah also played all the five Tests on Australia tour, which he had to bear the brunt. However, a shocking report has come out in which it has been revealed that Bumrah did not play the 5th Test due to injury, not the workload.
After not participating in the 5th Test, the BCCI informed Jaspreet Bumrah on July 31 from the Test Squad. The BCCI wrote, “Bumrah has been released from the Indian team for the fifth Test of the series against England”. However, there was no information about injury anywhere.
According to the report of Mumbai Mirror, Jasprit Bumrah was not out of the last Test against England not due to workload but not due to knee injury.
A BCCI official clarified the situation, saying, “Unfortunately, Bumrah is suffering from a knee injury. The good thing is that it is not a major injury and will not require surgery for this. The BCCI medical team is currently waiting for his scan report.”
The 31 -year -old fast bowler is expected to start his rehabilitation at BCCI’s Center of Excellence (COE).
Despite not being able to play the 5th Test match, Bumrah performed well in the series and took 14 wickets in three matches at an average of 26.00, including five wickets halls in the innings twice. His most notable performance was in the fourth Test at Old Trafford, where he worked hard for 33 overs on a flat pitch.
