In such a situation, during the revenue campaign, if his successor gives a self-proclaimed letter on the white paper and proves him with the signature of the head of the panchayat or the sarpanch, he will be accepted. In addition, if the word 'dead' is written with the name of a member in the lineage, he will also be accepted as proof.

Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Singh said that this important decision is expected to speed up the disposal of old pending nomination and partition cases. Collectors of all districts have also been instructed to ensure necessary action to their subordinate officers as per this order.
The Revenue and Land Reforms Department informed that the revenue campaign will run from 16 August to 20 September 2025.
Now the death certificate will also be valid with the signature of the head of the panchayat or sarpanch, provided the successor submit a self-proclaimed letter on the white paper.
