The 2025 All India Buchi Babu Invitation Cricket Tournament will be held in Chennai from August 18 to September 9, with matches scheduled across prominent city venues, including the recently opened Gojan Cricket Grounds in Red Hills.

Organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), the tournament will see participation from 14 state teams across India along with two local squads — TNCA President’s XI and TNCA XI. The champions will take home a prize of ₹3 lakh, while the runners-up will receive ₹2 lakh.

The competition will be divided into four groups of four teams each. The league stage will consist of 24 three-day matches, where the first innings will be capped at 90 overs per side and the second innings at 45 overs. The semi-finals and final will be four-day games, with both innings limited to 90 overs each.

Group A features TNCA President’s XI, Himachal Pradesh, last year’s runners-up Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. Group C will see TNCA XI face Mumbai, Bengal, and Haryana.

All matches will be live-streamed on the TNCA YouTube channel. TAKE Sports returns as the title sponsor for the third consecutive year.
