India vs New Zealand 4th T20I: Team India’s explosive opener Abhishek Sharma is in excellent form, but he could not show his impact in the fourth T20 match played against New Zealand at the ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Abhishek was out on the very first ball of India’s innings off the bowling of Matt Henry. While trying to play a big shot, he gave a direct catch to Devon Conway and became the victim of a golden duck.

Name included in unwanted list

With this out, an unwanted record was registered in the name of Abhishek Sharma. He has become the fifth batsman from India to be dismissed on the first ball of the innings in T20 International. Earlier, KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson have also been out in this manner.

The dismissal of a batsman who was in good form proved to be a shock for the team as well.

Abhishek’s performance in the series has been excellent

However, leaving this match aside, Abhishek Sharma’s current form has been tremendous. In the first T20 match against New Zealand, he played a stormy innings of 84 runs in 35 balls. During this period his strike rate was 240 and he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes. After this, in the third T20 also, Abhishek batted brilliantly and scored unbeaten 68 runs in 20 balls.

His strike rate in this innings was 340, which included 7 fours and 5 sixes.

In the fourth T20 played between India and New Zealand, the Kiwi team, batting first after losing the toss, scored 215 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. For New Zealand, Tim Seifert played an important inning of 62 runs in 36 balls. In reply, the Indian team looked under pressure while chasing the target and could not recover from the initial setbacks.
