A notable update has emerged regarding the contentious land deal in Pune. The land parcel, which was reportedly valued at ₹1,800 crores, was acquired for just ₹300 crores. According to sources, a government investigation report spanning nearly 1,000 pages has cleared Parth Pawar, son of the late NCP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, while recommending action against two government officials for alleged procedural violations.
The report, prepared by a committee led by IAS officer Vikas Shankar Kharage, who currently serves as the Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue), has been submitted to the revenue department headed by Chandrashekhar Bawankule. It is expected to be presented to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for further instructions. This committee was tasked with investigating the land sale linked to MS Amedia Enterprises LLP, whose head is Parth Pawar, the son of the late Deputy Chief Minister. Parth's mother, Sunetra Pawar, is currently the Deputy Chief Minister and oversees several departments, including State Excise, Minority Development, and Sports and Youth Affairs.
The controversy revolves around the illegal transfer of 44 acres of land located in Mundhwa, which is currently leased to the Botanical Survey of India (BSI). Sheetal Tejwani and Digvijay Patil, who hold the power of attorney for the land, are accused of manipulating records and unlawfully transferring ownership rights to Amedia Enterprises. Patil is a cousin of Parth Pawar. Sources indicate that the committee has recommended the dismissal of two government officials: Sub-Registrar Ravindra Taru from the Haveli Registrar's office and Tehsildar Suryakant Yeole.
