NTA NCET 2025: The registration window for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 has been opened by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Candidates can apply for the same till March 16, 2025 (up to 11:50 pm).

Once everyone is done with the registration then the agency will open a correction window for the applicants who wish to make some corrections in their application form. The window will be open for two days March 18 to March 19, 2025. After this, NTA will announce the city examination in the first week of April 2025.

NTA NCET 2025: Important dates

According to the official notice shared by the NTA, the admit cards will be available to download from the website 3-4 days before the examination. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) on April 29, 2025. The result date, recorded responses and answer keys will be announced later on the website.

The NCET 2025 exam will be conducted in 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada,

Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu. The exam will be held in 178 cities.

- General (Unreserved - UR) category: Rs 1,200

- Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories: Rs 1,000

- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and third-gender candidates: Rs 650

NTA NCET 2025: How to register?

To register for the NTA NCET 2025, candidates need to follow the mentioned below steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Register/Login’ option.

Step 3: After this, complete the registration process to get the login credentials.

Step 4: Now, log in by using the generated credentials and fill out the application form.

Step 5: Next, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee.

Step 6: Submit the form after reviewing it carefully.

Why NCET 2025 examination is conducted?

The NCET exam, administered by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at certain Central/State Universities and Institutions, such as IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges. The ITEP provides a Dual Major Programme in which the first main is Education with School-Specific Stage specialization and the additional major is a selected discipline.
