Regular Good Morning Britain contributor Narinder Kaur has called on King Charles to do more to help his subjects.
It was announced on Friday that King Charles, 76, would be opening up the doors to one of his many palatial homes, Highgrove House, in order to help ordinary Britons who need somewhere warm and safe to spend some time.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain to hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway, Highgrove Director Constantine Innemee said: "This is all about us opening this space here without any questions asked.
"It's just a nice comfortable afternoon to come and join us as one of our guests."
While many viewers were impressed and praised the King for welcoming people into one of his private residences, Narinder was a little more critical of his actions.
Writing on X the 51-year-old stated: "I'm not going to knock any little help for people desperately in need.. but this just demonstrates how much MORE the King could be doing to help those living in poverty.
"I'd like this to scrap throwing and closing the door behind."
Some of Narinder's followers agreed with her sentiment with one writing: "I think it's absolutely disgraceful, experience a little warmth this winter? As if that should even be a sentence! Pfft."
While another added: "It's absolutely pathetic. Another pointless PR stunt. If he really cared, he would give all the needy one of his many Palaces. Job done!"
Narinder and her followers have not been the only people dishing out advice to the king of late as he has been urged to get "spiritual advice" in order to fix the bitter rift with his son, Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex, who now lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, has been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time.
Deepak Chopra, am Indian-American alternative medicine practitioner who Meghan regards as her 'spiritual guru', said the King is a key figure to heal the rift. He told Richard Eden in his column 'Eden Confidential': "It would help if there were close alliances between the royals and spiritual help."
He added: "I'll be glad if [the King] did get spiritual advice to solve the problems between him and Harry."
