In the lockup of Badaun police of Uttar Pradesh, a young man has died under suspicious circumstances. The family members of the youth allege that the young man has eaten the medicine to kill the rat to avoid the third degree torture of the police. At the same time, the police, who kept trying to avoid making statements overnight, have given clarification on Sunday. Said that after a quarrel with the cousin, the young man came to the police post with his wife and fainted here. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Jagatveer (42), a resident of Asafpur town of Faizganj Behata.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (Country) KK Saroj, the allegations of eating rats in the post are baseless. He told that there was a fight between the two brothers. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. After this, Jagatveer came to the police post with his wife and fainted here for some reason. The police immediately sent him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. He told that post -mortem of the dead body is being done. Further action will be taken when the report comes.
On the other hand, the family of the deceased accused the police of suppressing the case. Said that the young man has been beaten up in the outpost. Till now the police has not arrested the policeman who assaulted the young man. Jagatveer's wife Sushila Devi told that on Saturday night, Jagatveer and her cousins were laughing and joking. Meanwhile, there was a dispute and the matter reached the police. However, the people of the village talked about resolving the matter through mutual agreement.
Despite this, the soldier posted in the police post, Abhishek Kumar, caught Jagatveer and took him to the post. Where he was beaten up. During this time, Jagatveer ate the medicine to kill rats. When the health deteriorated, the police first took him to Asafpur Primary Health Center, from where the district hospital and then the medical college were referred. Where he died during treatment.
