Maha Shivratri 2025 Fasting: Maha Shivratri fast is considered an important fast in Hinduism, which devotees keep to get the blessings of Lord Shiva. During this, devotees who fast all day consume such food, which is light, nutritious, and easy to digest. Satvik and light food are eaten in the Mahashivratri fast and fruits, milk, makhana, sago, water chestnut flour, buckwheat flour peanuts, etc. are eaten during the fast. Make this fruit diet during Maha Shivratri fast (what to eat during Maha Shivratri)–

Sabudana Khichdi- Sabudana is rich in carbohydrates, which helps in maintaining energy throughout the day.

It can be made and eaten with peanuts, green chillies, and mild spices.

Kuttu Ka Atta Puri- Buckwheat flour is the most popular among the grains eaten during fasting. Its puri is tasty as well as easy to digest. It can be eaten with potato curry.

Singhara flour pudding- If you are fond of eating sweets during fasting, then pudding made from water chestnut flour is a great option. It is nutritious as well as provides energy.

Makhana ki kheer- Makhana is rich in antioxidants and gives energy to the body. This kheer made from milk, makhana and jaggery is delicious and healthy.

Fruits and dry fruits- If you want to eat light and healthy during fasting, then consume fruits and dry fruits. They give you instant energy.

Aloo Paneer Tikki- This is a delicious and healthy snack, which is prepared from boiled potatoes and paneer.

It is eaten after lightly roasting it in ghee.

Curd and Sama rice- The mixture of Sama rice and curd is light for digestion and excellent in taste. It is a perfect option for fasting.

Rajgira paratha- Rajgira (amaranth) flour is rich in protein and the paratha made from it is healthy and tasty.

Banana Shake- Banana is full of energy and its shake gives strength to the body during the day's fast.

Coconut Laddu- This sweet laddu made of coconut satisfies the desire to eat sweets during the fast and it is also very healthy.
