PNB Account Holders Must Update KYC Before March 26

If you have an account with Punjab National Bank (PNB), this is an important update for you. The bank has announced that accounts with no transactions for the past three years will be closed after March 26, 2025. To prevent account closure, PNB customers must update their KYC (Know Your Customer) details before the deadline.

Who Needs to Update KYC?

PNB has stated that accounts meeting the following criteria will be affected:
✅ No customer transactions for over three years (till December 31, 2024).
Zero balance or no deposits in the account.

If your account falls under these conditions, you must update your KYC before March 26, 2025, to keep it active.

How to Update KYC?

PNB customers can update their KYC through the following methods:

  • Visit the Nearest Branch: Carry your identity proof, address proof, PAN card, recent photograph, and proof of income.
  • Online Methods: Use PNB One App, Internet Banking (IBS), or send documents via registered email/post to complete the process.
  • What Happens If KYC Is Not Updated?

Accounts that are not updated with KYC details by March 26, 2025, may be closed without prior notice.

    Understanding Dormant & Inoperative Accounts

🔹 An account with no transactions for 12 months is considered dormant.

🔹 An account with no transactions for 24 months is categorized as inoperative.
🔹 Transactions are restricted in dormant accounts until KYC is updated.

    Final Reminder

If you wish to continue using your PNB account, ensure that your KYC details are updated before March 26, 2025. Avoid last-minute hassles and secure uninterrupted banking services! 🚀
