A huge bang has been heard in Liverpool.

A Liverpool resident took to X to share their experience witnessing it.

@liverpoolmodels shared on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Big bang or explosion on Mill street! My flat shook over 1 mile away! Pity the houses next to it!"

Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said they have not been informed of any incident in the area and are not in attendance.

Liverpool City Council has been approached for comment.
