Created by siblings Zoya and Farhan, the legendary hits Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai is back with a surprise for moviegoers. Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani and director Zoya Akhtar announced in an exclusive interview with Zoom that ZNMD will soon be released in theaters.

They also said that Dil Chahta Hai’s creators will be commemorating the film’s 25th anniversary with a spectacular theatrical comeback the following year.

Dil Chahta Hai was first launched on August 10, 2001, directed by actor Farhan Akhtar as his maiden project. It is produced by Excel Entertainment and is financed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Akhtar. It features Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, Dimple Kapadia, in important roles.

The film featured the lives of three friends as they transitioned from college to eventually getting married to their respective partners. The film also took home two awards at the 49th National Film Awards.

ZNMD tells the story of three childhood friends who on a road trip to commemorate one of them starting a family. They make the decision to engage in interesting activities they have always desired to do while traveling. It starred Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles.
