Additionally, flights from Purnia Airport are set to commence within the next three months. Along with enhancing air connectivity, the government has allocated over ₹15,000 crore for rural roads and has planned the construction of modern bus terminals in every district.
On March 3, 2025, the Nitish government presented the state budget, with a key focus on youth, women, farmers, and infrastructure growth. As part of this initiative, the government has proposed the development of airports in seven major cities, alongside other transportation and connectivity improvements.
