Desk. Unni Mukundan's film 'Marco' has suffered a major setback. The film is streaming on the OTT platform. The Central Film Certification Board has demanded a ban on this film. A CBFC officer has demanded the committee chairman to demand intervention from the central government to stop the film's streaming on OTT. The film 'Marco' is believed to be one of the most violent films in the Malayalam industry.
CBFC had already rejected the right to broadcast on TV due to excessive violence in the film. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had already condemned the violence shown in the film. According to him, this film will encourage the youth to violence in real life.
CBFC regional officer Nadeem Tufail said that 'Marco has already been given a certificate by CBFC. Parents should caution their children before watching the film. The role of CBFC is limited to certification and does not include sensorship. We have already banned its broadcast on TV as this film is not for family audience.
On the film, Unni Mukundan says that 'violence has been an important part in human development. We have found peace due to war. It is our biggest objective to be alive on all of them. I am not saying that this is an excuse to show violence on screen, but the truth is that violence is in our society.
