I'm a pretty frequent fake tan user, and after watching 's amazing BRIT Awards performance, I was left wondering what exactly she uses to get her shimmering bronzed tan. I've since discovered it's from the Australian-based fake tan brand Loving Tan.

The exact one is the , usually priced at £30.05 but currently on offer for £24.76 at LookFantastic.

This body cream gives an instant tan, so it is perfect for days when you have forgotten to tan and are looking for immediate results. The tan also leaves a shimmering finish on the skin, which is the secret behind .

Formulated with aloe vera, which helps to moisturise the skin, and coffee extracts to brighten, surprised me with its results.

Loving Tan Bronze Shimmer Luminous Cream review

My natural skin tone is pretty cool and pale, so I'm a big fan of fake tanning, especially in the winter. I tend to lean towards gradual tans that develop over time, as I find they go on a bit smoother and last longer. However, I'm prone to spontaneous evenings out and can also be pressed for time, which often leaves me without enough to plan out my tan routine (which is essential with gradual tans).

When I saw Sabrina Carpenter loves the , I was intrigued to try the product myself, as an instant tan would be the best for my lifestyle. And I was honestly so surprised with the results. It was probably the easiest tan I've ever tried to apply, and it went on so smoothly with no patchiness (I used a mitt, not my hands, to avoid muddy-looking palms).

I actually tried , as I am pretty pale and like to avoid using fake tans that are too deep and unnatural-looking on my skin tone. I loved the colour of the medium tan; it's such a buildable formula, meaning you can deepen the product as much as you like. In the summer, I would definitely try out the dark shade, but the medium is my perfect shade for the wintertime.

I'm not the biggest fan of the shimmer, as I generally prefer matte tans, but I do think this shimmer will look great in the summertime or . Another criticism for me is that it did stain my bed sheets. That is usually a dealbreaker for me with fake tans, but considering how easily this tan washes off, I would use it for a specific event or day and then wash the tan off before I got into bed.

Overall, I think I will be ditching my gradual tans in favour of this instant one. I change my mind pretty easily and love that I can just apply and wash off this tan as and when I want. . And if it's good enough for Sabrina Carpenter, it's definitely good enough for me.

If you've not been convinced by the instant tan, my favourite gradual tans are: , currently £22 and , £18.95.
