These days, there is a dispute about Aurangzeb in the politics of the country. The main reason for this is Samajwadi Party MLA Abbu Azmi to praise Aurangzeb. He described Aurangzeb as a skilled ruler. It is said that during his reign, Aurangzeb broke more than 1000 temples and built a mosque, but there was a temple in the country from where Aurangzeb had to return.
There are thousands of such incidents in the history of India, which call Aurangzeb a cruel ruler. Aurangzeb has ruled India from 1658 to 1707. During this time, he has tortured people in various ways here. The biggest incidents in this were to break Hindu temples and build a mosque on them. It is said that Aurangzeb broke more than a thousand temples during his reign.
During this time, when Breaking Aurangzeb temples, Lord Rama’s Taposthali reached Chitrakoot after Kashi. Here its army tried to remove Shivalingas from the hammer at the Maharajdhiraj Matyagajendranath Temple on the banks of the Ramghat bank, which was established by Brahma ji. The entire army, including the commander of Aurangzeb, fainted as soon as he used to hammer on the Shivling. On seeing this, Aurangzeb got very nervous.
After this, he reached the Balaji temple located some distance away from the running Matgajendranath temple. Vipin Tiwari, priest of Matyagajendranath Temple, told that during this time Aurangzeb prayed to Balaji Temple’s Saint Balak Das to fix his army. After this, Saint Balak Das told Aurangzeb that you write in a copperplate and give it that you will not break the temples in Chitrakoot again. If you give this by writing this, I will tell you the solution to this problem.
On hearing this, Aurangzeb agreed to the saint. After this, Mahant said that you go 10 kilometers away from here, your army’s life will be saved. After this, the saint had also given Aurangzeb to Aurangzeb, after which his entire army including Aurangzeb was cured. Aurangzeb had donated thousands of bighas of land on the Tamapatra of Balaji temple and later built it. The evidence of this incident is still present in Matyagajendranath Temple and Balaji Temple.
Hammer marks can be seen even today in the Shivling installed in the Matyagajendranath temple. At the same time, Balaji temple still has a copperplate of Auranzeb, in which he named thousands of bigha land in the temple. Balaji is the only temple in the country, which was not broken by Aurangzeb but built. This claim is that of Mahant Bhuvandas Maharaj, the Mahant of Balaji Temple, who is calling this incident as 1691.
