She discussed women’s mental health issues and solutions during a press conference held here on Friday, the eve of International Women’s Day.

According to Dr. Pujitha Josyula, women often bear the load of both family obligations and career demands. Consequently, she said, they suffer from a lot of mental issues. According to her, women experience extreme stress and despair both during and after pregnancy. Women are more prone to getting PCOD, PCOS, and severe depression during menopause.

The psychologist emphasized that women are more vulnerable to lifestyle disorders than males since they experience higher levels of stress from work-related difficulties and family obligations.

According to Dr. Pujitha, medical counseling and treatments may be used to address issues when they are discovered early.

She said that evidence-based scientific treatment is urgently needed for this.

The doctor said that low-cost customized therapy is being offered to women who are struggling with mental health difficulties.
