viewers were in for a treat during the most recent instalment of the cooking show. Host was thrilled to be joined by the beloved Floella Benjamin, whose youthful appearance stole the show.

However, as the programme wrapped up, Matt gave viewers some important schedule changes. While the credits started to roll along the bottom of the screen, he said: "All the recipes from the studio are on the website, bbc.co.uk/saturdaykitchen.

"There's no Best Bites tomorrow as there's athletics coverage instead, yeah. But if you're missing us, there are plenty of Saturday Kitchen episodes on Best Bites on the BBC iPlayer.

"I'm going to be back here live next week at the slightly earlier time of 9:30." According to the BBC's schedule, the time change for Saturday Kitchen comes as the show will also be ending half an hour earlier.

Instead of ending at its usual time slot of 11.30, it will be finishing at 11.00 when Football Focus will air. Matt announced the schedule change just after he had finished making Floella's food 'heaven' dish.

At the start of the programme, viewers had to decide if Matt would be making the 75-year-old a dish she'd enjoy, or something she was less keen on.

Before detailing what her options were, Floella confessed she wasn't keen on food with batter on. In the end, 69 per cent of viewers opted for the nicer option, a delicious chicken in cooked in Caribbean spices with all the trimmings.

Elsewhere in the show, Floella gave viewers a message in light of International Women's Day.

After paying tribute to her partner, who she has been with for 54 years, she said: "On International Women's Day, I say to all the men out there, really, really, appreciate your women.

"Worship your women, because we bring life into the world, we nurture the world. I want all the little boys growing up to learn to respect women. Respect women even if they're successful.

"A lot of men don't respect women, and they feel threatened by women when they grow up. I say, women are growing, women are moving to the top what we're going to do is to bring men along with us."

Saturday Kitchen continues Saturdays on BBC One from 10am.
