March 10, Mumbai Actor Javier Bardem has developed a devoted following worldwide because to his depiction of maniac Anton Chigurh in the Coen Brothers film “No Country for Old Men.” The character is so memorable that an impartial panel of experts in the Journal of Forensic Sciences has named him the most accurate portrayal of a psychopath in a motion picture. His hairstyle plays a major role in the character’s intimidating but icy demeanor.
The actor actually addressed it once, claiming that they were his real hairstyles when the movie was being filmed.
During an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show,” he discussed his persona and his hairdo, stating that it resulted from his uncontrollable hair.
“You went blonde in ‘Skyfall,’ but your iconic bad hair won you an Oscar,” the program host informed him.
The actor responded to the same by saying, “Unfortunately, it wasn’t a wig. In Santa Fe, I had to put up with it for two months. It would remain in that form no matter what I did to it. Everyone would freak out when I went to the grocery store to purchase stuff. Yes, I had to put the device in place while wearing a hairnet. I then had to use an elevator to go to the first level of the building where we were filming on the last day of the shoot.
“And the elevator opened, and all of the crew members had hair,” he said. And the Coen Brothers had the item there in front of me.
“No Country For Old Men” took home three British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), two Golden Globes, and four Oscars at the 80th Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
