Lalbaug Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal, the trust that hosts Mumbai's most visited Ganesh Pandal, has teamed up with Wockhardt Hospitals Mumbai Central for better emergency care with foldable stretchers.

Around 3,700 families from nine locations in the Lalbaug area will benefit from the project.The locations in the Lalbaug area consist of four-story buildings and chawl without elevators, which create challenges during medical emergencies when residents are unable to walk or require immediate transportation. The foldable soft stretchers are specifically designed to address these scenarios, enabling the quick and safe movement of individuals in need.

The lightweight, durable stretchers allow for easy mobility in tight stairwells, while the curated by Wockhardt’s medical team, include essential supplies to address injuries and stabilize individuals until professional medical help arrives. Swapnil Parab, secretary of the Lalbaug Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal, Ganesh Galli Committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the hospital’s support. "Our Mandal is dedicated to providing a safe and seamless experience for devotees, and Wockhardt Hospitals’ initiative greatly enhances our ability to respond to emergencies effectively. Extending this support to 9 locations, particularly those with limited accessibility, showcases their commitment to the well-being of the entire community."
