Born in West Bengal

Shreya was born in Barhampur in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. But his family soon moved to Rawatbhata in Kota, Rajasthan. She moved to Mumbai after spending a few years of childhood in Rajasthan. Shreya had a tradition of music in the family, but became the first member to step into the film industry. Today his younger brother Saumydeep Ghoshal is also a successful musician.

Shreya's mother Sharmishtha Ghoshal was very fond of music, she used to play Tanpura and sing the songs. Shreya was interested in music after seeing her mother. His father Biswajit Ghoshal was an electrical engineer, but he loved listening to music. Shreya's mother became her first guru and taught her daughter to music.

Marriage to childhood friend

Shreya's parents had a dream that his daughter became a singer. His father believed that Shreya had a talent of music since childhood. Shreya got married in 2015 after a 10 -year relationship with her childhood friend Shiladitya Mukhopadhyay, who is an engineer by Shiladitya profession.
